Last weekend we celebrated the holidays with Jeff's family. His mom had made these tasty sugar and spice nuts that I really liked so I decided to make a few batches myself to give as gifts. Not only do they taste good but they're fairly simple to make and they're a fantastic gift too, especially a hostess gift. And when the recipe is typed on a shipping tag with rounded corners and tied to a mason jar with a polka dot ribbon? Well then they are extra special and super cute too. enjoy!Sugar and Spice Nuts
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 egg white
-combine and whisk
3 cups total mixed nuts (I used peanuts, pecan halves, and walnuts)
1 cup dried cranberries
-toss to coat. place on a greased baking sheet in a single layer. bake at 300F for 20 minutes.
