I have a button maker just like yours. Is there a trick to fabric buttons? Ever time I try, I have a fraying problem.
This one is a little heavier duty than your standard maker- it is designed to withstand thick materials. I have had the fabric fold back and expose frays out the backside, so after the first step, when the top part is still in the maker, I push the fabric inwards using my hand. No frays peek out the back that way.

If you don't mind me asking, I was wondering which model your button machine is. I am in the market to get one, and its so confusing looking online! Also, I like the style of your pin-buttons. Where do you get those?
