before and after: master bedroom ensuite

I finished the final touches on our master bedroom ensuite. It's been a few weeks of working on this re-decorating project and we are so happy with how light and fresh the room now feels. My before pictures aren't great because I always forget to take before pictures- these two photos are actually from our walk through when we first purchased the house and the previous owners still lived here. The walls were very dark brown, so were the baseboards. The tub was stained brown and the curtains and light fixture were lime green. We painted the bedroom a nice blue/green , the washroom walls cream, and the baseboards white. We installed this light fixture which I had found at a thrift shop over a year ago before we lived here, knowing it would suit the house. A fresh coat of paint and some new bulbs were all this fourteen dollar find needed.
I sanded down the tub and put a white oak stain on the wood- this was for sure the most time consuming and messy part of the whole project, but it helps lighten the space so much. We covered the back wall in a paintable wall paper and painted it the same colour as the other walls. This was my first attempt at putting up wallpaper and I think that it was definitely the right kind of paper to use for my first time because it is so forgiving- not only is it thick, but it's also painted over afterwards which hides any minor mistakes. I also painted all the furniture in the bedroom white so it all ties in nicely.

Jenna! These photo's could so be in a decor magazine. It's beautiful! I would love to lounge in that tub, so luxurious! I really like the white oak stain, I think that the stain, the colour palette and the wallpaper are all perfectly chosen. I hope to see more of these before and after's in the future!

YOU and your new bathroom have motivated me to take action on my own. Can you share with us the names of the paint brand and exact names of the cream color and white color on walls, as well as the brand and color of the spray for the chandelier? Thank you for the inspiration! :-)

Thanks everyone!
I'm glad it has inspired you. The cream colour used on all the walls is one of Benjamin Moores' affinity colurs, called Battenburg AF 70. The chandelier was spray painted in a standard flat white metal spray paint found at the hard ware store- I don't remember the brand because I did the chandelier a while ago, but any pure white spray paint would look the same.
