I used to add embroidered details to my hats and then stopped for a while. It was an addition I missed and started doing again last season. For fall I have some beautiful wools for hats, including this charcoal heathered one. These are some of my exploration of ideas for the details. Playing around with ideas like this is just like working out ideas in a sketchbook only using a needle and thread. I decided on a combination of screen printing and embroidery in the end.
