Starting the first fall we lived in Hamilton we got a share from Plan B Organic farms every week for an entire year. Last week we started getting the weekly assortment of fruits and vegetables again, which we pick up at our local deli every Tuesday evening. Each week is a surprise and some weeks we get new veggies that we have never even cooked before and we have to look up how to do it, which I find fun. Last night our box was filled with green onions, spinach, lettuce, strawberries, garlic scapes, asparagus, zucchini, and mushrooms. All local, organic, and fresh. Plan B services the Hamilton and Toronto region and is run by a very nice family. We have never been disappointed with our box of goodies. The walk to and from the deli to get the share is just one of our weekly reminders why we love this city so much.
